It gives the error that firefox is unable to connect, even though the internet connection is working fine on google chrome and internet explorer. I tried disabling the Mcafee site advisor plugin and firefox gave me the following error "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function." What's going on?

Please see solution in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions for "McAfee Site Advisor".

(Windows): For best results you should uninstall McAfee Site Advisor from Control Panel > add/change programs (Programs and Features). Reboot the system. Then Reinstall from http://www.siteadvisor.com/ and reboot the system. When installing refuse other suggested (crapware) applications.

@dmcritchie: i uninstalled macfee site advisor. Firefox is no longer giving the error. But its still not working. It only opens up the homepage. Whenever i open up a site, it says 'unable to connect.' There is nothing wrong with the internet connection. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer are working fine.
