Hi,

I'm not sure, I guess it was a design decision to save space, but here's how put it back.

There's a Knowledge Base article here that tells you how to add/remove buttons from Firefox's toolbars, just click 'How do I customize or rearrange toolbar items?' in Table of Contents, follow the guide and for Step 2. drag the Home button to where you want it.
