images at JCPenny don't display when I'm shopping a particular item, click on it and the details come up. The photo of the item won't display, just the details. The small block icon at the top and bottom of where the photo would be is visible but the entire area where the item photo should display is blank. I'm using Firefox 8.0.1

url and where missing images are, might have been more helpful when asking a question,.

I loaded http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/default.aspx and looked at "Adblock Plus" extension within "Open blockable items" to see what kinds of images there are, there are three third party images among many others. The report itself would tell you what you are blocking in ADP itself if it was blocking something, but you may be blocking third party images through configuration settings, or specific files with a hosts file or other file blockers.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

  • You can inspect and manage all permissions on the about:permissions page, via the location bar.
  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
  • Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Make sure that you do not block third-party images permissions.default.images

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
