CANNOT REMOVE SWEET/IM FROM TOOLBAR ETC
Sadly the emoticons software was installed on my computer. Sometime ago I removed the installation and thought I had deleted it, but there must be some remnants. I cannot get rid of it from the Firefox toolbar. It overrides all attempts to change it.

You can try to identify and remove the toolbar via Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Extensions/Plugins (on the left). Please note that some add-ons may have more than one entry. You may also have to remove it from the OS Control Panel > Programs and Features.
You can also try to Reset toolbars and controls: and Make Changes and Restart in the Safe Mode startup screen.
