Firefox was working fine until I inadvertently installed Firefox for Yahoo. It slowed everything down and I started having problems. I uninstalled that and reinstalled Firefox from the Mozilla page version 17.0.1 (x86-en-us). I am running Windows 98. It is running slow, scrolling is slow and a friend is getting weird messages with my name from a yahoo account. (I use g-mail)I have AVG anti-virus which is up to date and PC unleashed which is also up-to date. I wanted to try completely uhninstalling it and I am not able to at all. Suggestions?

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
