Firefox often crashes right after I use Google Docs statistics function (Ctrl-Shift-C) on a text document and then try to close statictics dialog with Enter or mouse click. Seems to happen much more often if the document is large.

This problem persists with all recent versions of Firefox, but only on Linux. Windows versions not affected. Sometimes Firefox crashes outright, sometimes just stops responding with high processor load, and sometimes it also shows empty dialog window with OK and Cancel buttons.

Resetting Firefox, disabling add-ons and so on have no effect on crashes.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
  2. Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.

If you install Firefox 20 pre-release this should fix the crashes, http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/aurora/

Just tested it (installed from ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/firefox-aurora). Problem persists - now Firefox just stops responding with an empty dialog window with OK and Cancel buttons.
