Can't open attachments using earthlink webmail

I just got Windows8. When sending an attachment via Earthlink Webmail, the attachment cannot be opened. This happens both in Firefox and IE. Note: Attachments can be opened in gmail but I would rather use Earthlink.

Its happen to all types of attachment or particular type of attachment.

Is it a browser, earthlink or Firefox, Windows8, etc. issue. How can I fix this? And who should I contact if Firefox contributors don't have a solution? Thanks
