How do I recover from Bug 729530 - Sync setup fails if more than one version of Firefox is installed

I have a Kindle Fire 2. I downloaded Beta and Aurora from the ftp site and installed them about a month ago. I was running sync on Beta only, and everything was working well. Then I set up sync in Aurora. It said it had connected properly, but did not work and stopped in Beta. No error messages.

I uninstalled all Firefox; changed the sync password and key; installed Release and set up sync. I received messages from PC and Kindle that sync was working, but nothing happened. Uninstalled Release and repeat with Beta. Same results.

My guess is that uninstalling Firefox is not cleaning out all the sync data, but I don't know where to look. Thanks.

It was not directly useful, although interesting. It convinced me that there was a problem in android, so I reset to factory defaults and reinstalled Aurora. Now sync is working well again. thanks
