I tried out the Wikipedia app from the marketplace on my N4 running android 4.2.2. Cool app but now I want to uninstall it. I can't figure out how. I long pressed on the icon for the app on my home screen and staged it to "remove" but that just removed the icon from the home screen. I can't find the app in my app drawer or in settings under apps>indtslled. However, I suspect that our is still installed because going to the marketplace on Firefox mobile, I see the words "launch" next to the app where as I see "install" next to all other apps.

yes sorry, i've just based my instructions on my observations in firefox beta & assumed the steps would just be the same in the normal firefox version.

as you've already discovered, there isn't an entry in the menu to access the installed apps in firefox for android yet - however you can access it nevertheless by typing about:apps into the address bar & remove the downloaded apps from there.

hello, in order to remove the app again go to menu > tools > apps in firefox, long-press the wikipedia icon & select "uninstall".

I'm sorry but I don't know how to navigate to "menu" in Firefox mobile on android. Can you tell me where to go to find that?

your device should either have a hardware menu button or you can access it through this icon in the top right of the browser:

The image "androidmenuics" does not exist.

Ah! I see now. On my Firefox mobile, when I navigate to tools, there is no "apps" available (I only see "save as PDF" "Downloads" and "Add-ons")

But I do have Firefox Beta installed and know that it has "Apps" in its Tools section. Unfortunately, when I go there, I see "No web apps installed. Get some from the Firefox Marketplace".

I did use standard Firefox mobile to install the Wikipedia app.

As a little test, I tired installing the Twitter app from the Firefox marketplace using Firefox Beta and then seeing if was able to uninstall it via menu>tools>apps>long press on it's icon. It worked perfectly and the app was uninstalled.

So my problem lies in that I installed the Wikipedia app through Firefox mobile and it does not yet have the apps section in its tools, I suppose.

Excellent! Thank you so much!:)

Very fun accessing semi-hidden menu option by typing in the address like that but it should be pushed through in the next update so that it has a place in the tools section.
