Hello,
Go to you Gmail Accout, click in the Gmail drop down menu and select Contacts >> in the action bar click on the More button and press Export then press Export button, go to your Thunderbird >> click on Address Book >> Tools >> Import >> select Address Book >> Next >> select Text FIle(LDIF, .tab, .csv, .txt) >> Next >> in the kind of archive change to All Files then select the file that you download from google.

Thanks, but this is only sending from gmail to TB. The thing is I work on my PC in TB and when I update my addressbook in TB I want to synchronise it with gmail contacts, so I get the same addressbook on my mobile devices. I've been trying to export from TB to gmail, but it apperas gmail only accept CSlV- or vCard... Any idea?
Ohh i'm sorry, it's simple, go to Thunderbird click on Address Book >> Tools >> Export change the kind of file to Comma Separated then save the file will save a .csv file then now go to Gmail and import(I think you know how to do this, case not say and i will help you)
Thanks! I understand how to export the file now. However, when I export I get an old verion of the addressbook... If I "print" the addressbok i get the new version, but when i export it i get an old version... Im confused now... do i need to do anything to "save" the current version before exporting?
No, maybe you have some contacts in Personal and Collected folders
In old version is missing contacts??
The old version has contacts +1600 When I add a new contact in my "personal" adddress book it does not export. Same goes for the "collected" contacts I find an .Idif file but that appears to be the "original" addressbook (=old contacts), looking at the file details for time and date All updates of the .Idif file appears as shortcut to the the old one... Make sense?
Have you tried synchronizing? See
Thanks! But Im using Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1 and it is apparently not compatible... Do you know if any work around exists?
gContactSync is a Thunderbird add-on. You'll need to install it for Thunderbird, not Firefox. Why would you want it in Firefox anyway?
