I've been using gmail's web client to access my email account. All is working fine.

I installed the latest version of Thunderbird for Windows 7 using the default settings. However, most of my email messages display the wrong sender. I don't see a common characteristic in the incorrector or correct senders.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. Nothing changed.

All remains working fine in the gmail web client.

Ideas?

you have the email address added to your address book with whatever name your seeing in Thunderbird.

Go to your address book and remove the entry and you will do much better I am sure. Many services like BLogger use the same email address for everyone and just modify the display name in the message.
