This does not have network, but has other profile features http://www.accessfirefox.org/Firefox_Import_Wizard.php However in the past you have had options to import. If it does not import the network settings, it is possible to manually configure these or set the Options/Settings > Advanced > Network to "Auto Proxy"

So, I take it from this response that porting over information from another browser is always a manual process and cannot be automated.

There is an option to import data if you open Bookmarks > Show all Bookmarks > Backup and Import > Sync Data From Another Browser.

It is built in. It will import Favorites, Options, Browser History and Cookies. It is all automated.
