The Windows media player movie will not play on my website. The extension on the wmp object is .wmv. I have tried several versions of code and activated and deactivated the Windows media plugins but I am still not having any luck. I also read that copying the plugins to a browser/plugin folder would work but no luck there. Microsoft Windows Media player plugin for Firefox. 1.0.0.8 is activated. I have deactivated Windows Media player plug in dynamic link library.

Thanks for the response. I have the plugin downloaded and activated. Trouble shooting as advised I used the link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/play-windows-media-files-in-firefox. I tried the Windows Media test link it takes me to http://ce.uwex.edu/technical-support/. I do not think this is correct. Does the proxy in your IE block video content? I do not appear to have IE blocking any video content as WMP is working in IE.

Regarding the information on this link - http://www.interoperabilitybridges.co.../releasenotes.txt

I have also checked the proxy settings on IE and Firefox, they are set to automatic.

Any reason you don't post a link to the page on your website where you are having this problem?

If you don't want to post a link in this forum, can you send a link via PM to guigs2?
