Is there a backup addon for Thunderbird profiles?

is there an addon to backup profiles? Physically backing up the profiles folder isn't working, because there are 'Destination Path Too Long' errors. A tool that could rename and then restore during a backup would fix this problem. The only solution I've found is Mozbackup, which appears obsolete; it's for versions up to 3 or so, and we're up to 24 at least now.

MozBackup is not obselete.

If you read the info at the link below, it says MozBackup is compatible with: Thunderbird 1.0 or newer, in other words all versions to date.

Backup information:

You do not say if you use IMAP or POP. If IMAP, make sure you have synchronized all folders, so a local copy is created.

Additional info on IMAP backup options:

Close Thunderbird first before making backup.

A couple of other backup add-ons that should work on all operating systems:

I just want to backup the entire profiles folder. Thanks for enlightening me re:mozbackup's being still alive.

Many thanks sfhowes. I used to use TEBE years ago. It was very buggy then, but I'll revisit it now on your advice.
