Google Doodle hijacking Firefox logo in about:home page

more options

First Google kept hijacking my about:home page. After trying different solutions provided on different sites, I finally discovered it was due to Advance System Care's homepage protection which was set to google.com, so that was fixed.

Now, when I open the about:home page, I see the Firefox logo for like a millisecond, and it's quickly replaced by Google Doodles. I tried adding filters to AdBlock Plus, right clicking on the doodle doesn't give me an option to AdBlock it, in fact the link goes to Firefox. I don't really want to disable javascript. Right now, I have my start page changed to http://www.google.com/firefox. That is a solution, but I liked the about:home page better.

Thinking of giving up on Google altogether and just go with another search engine.

Mozilla has been adding different artwork to the home page, so it's not Google's fault.

If you do not want to see changing "snippets" on the home page, you can suppress them. These threads list a variety of different methods for that:
