Hi

I have read that I can take the file places.sqlite to transfer browser history and bookmarks to another profile. I did this but unfortunately I only can see the bookmarks but not the browsing history in the new profile. Could you provide a step-by-step solution, please?

Thanks so much!

Cheers, Claudia

This should work provided that there were no problems with the places.sqlite file.

Were there any problem in that previous profile that you have created a new profile?

Did the history in that other profile still work before you made a copy of that file?

Hi co-rel

No, there were no problems with the old profile. The "old" profile was on a computer of an organization I am not part anymore, and I only like to get it on my private computer.

Yes, the history worked. That's actually when it became clear that the browser history is as important as the bookmarks  :-)

Is it possible that different versions of firefox cause the problem?
