I installed ad blocker but still ads are popping up..its so irritating! This started after installing windows 7 from windows 8! On win8 ad blocker was working fine!

thanks for following up.

  1. please go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions & remove those two "deals" addons, since they are likely adware.
  2. also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc) from there.
  3. finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner, which are specialised in adware and browser hijackers.
