Years ago I configured Thunderbird to automatically transfer e-mails from another account to my gmail account. Now I wish to reverse this, but don't remember how I set it up to begin with. I looked everywhere, including on the sites of gmail and my other account. Nothing.

It would be done with a filter in Thunderbird and is the worst way to do it. This is best done at the email providers server. If you do not remember how you set this up then that might be a problem.

Depends upon how you did it.

Tools > Message filters check to see if a filter has been created to do this. Although, as Airmail said, this is not the best method. It would be possible to download all those emails and then forward them to gmail email address. But, what is the point of downloading just to send to another email address, just to download again.

It is likely that you set this up via the webmail account to forward to another - gmail email address.
