Why does Firefox Focus want me to share the trackers it has blocked?

Firefox Focus works great. I am concerned about on the home page though. It clearly shows the trackers blocked, but there is a shared entry I could make. What is that for?

I fully agree. Once again, please understand that the feature is, like in many other applications, there to share (or open) a currently visited page’s URL (address) in regular Firefox (if installed) or other browser or app, Bluetooth or text message. It has nothing to do with sharing the number of trackers like you may have seen in e.g. Adblock Plus add-on’s "Share this number" option.

The Share feature is there to view a page (URL) in regular Firefox or to share it using another app, not to share the number of blocked trackers. Did you try it?

See What is Firefox Focus for iOS? for more (which may be outdated a bit with regard to the Share feature at this point.)

Why would I want to share a tracker? I thought the whole purpose was to keep trackers from following you while using this app...
