I have always been used to download things with no problem. Suddenly I get the message "Failed" on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING I want to download. I updated Firefox on my PC to the latest version. I can download anything on Chrome, no problem. I prefer using Firefox so I would really appreciate a brainiac's input on how to solve this! Thank you

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

This download manager works separately from the browser. The browser tells it what to download, and off it goes.

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org It is a powerful modern download accelerator and organizer for Windows and Mac.
