I have a Windows 10 computer. Lately, every time I press the "+" button to open a new tab, it opens that new tab in the window I am currently using (as it should), however it also opens that new tab in a new window as well. So with more than two tabs open, you can float your curser over the Firefox icon on the task-bar and multiple windows show up, one for each tab you have open.

Hi, yes below is correct in Windows 10

you can float your curser over the Firefox icon on the task-bar and multiple windows show up, one for each tab you have open.
As then you have a check mark in Options --> General --> Tabs --> Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar

It is performing as it suppose to.

as for the + sign great as you say "as it should"

so ya this is wrong " however it also opens that new tab in a new window as well " in Options same place but a check mark in this box : Open links in tabs instead of new windows

So if these are all set up then should be working properly. Please check and let us know.
