right click save image as saves nothing yet works in IE
Model boat with yellow decking and yellow 130 on its hull, oblique view down its port side, sitting on red stands in turn on a wood base. Click the thumb and the picture goes larger, (this link may already take you to that) I right click and go save image as, save it to my new empty folder, then repeat that and look to see if its there and its empty, try it on the grey boat the right of this one in the thumbs, and then again and I see that one in my folder, its saved that one. Paste this address into IE, theirs is save picture as, and it works.
why is Firefox incapaple of this ? I use this method a heck of a lot. I ended up with a load of images that wont be recognised by the PC yesterday on this build thread, .
About Firefox says Firefox Quantum up to date.
IE never fails in this task but FF has good and bad saves.

Hi DBenz, do you see a yellow dot on the downloads button on the toolbar for that file? When I click that, it says "failed."
These Photobucket images are a bit problematic. If I click the Visit button and try to save from the forum post, it fails there, too.
If I right-click > View image, I get taken to a Photobucket page instead of directly to the image file. I think this is causing the problem, that Firefox is trying to pull from the source site instead of saving what appears in the page, and Photobucket restricts that somehow.
There might be a workaround for this, but I haven't researched it.
Hi, yes yellow dot, now I never get a failed save, this is the first time ever, normally I get a file but it is not valid for photoshop, and BreezeBroswer gives it a red cross. Something different has happened and nothing at all is being saved. Is the firefox update at fault as it updated this morning and I certainly have never come across this zero save problem before, just a duffer file saved.
HOW DOES IE MANAGE TO SAVE IT OK THOUGH ?
This is a Firefox problem as such.

I don't use other browsers for Google Image search so I'll take your word that they work.
I think the problem with the image you mentioned is related to (A) the hosting, and (B) the fact that Firefox wants to fetch the original while other browsers might be able to save from cache.
The reason I say (A) is that other sites usually work. For example, my site doesn't do any sketchy redirects when you save an image (except for some older scripts with "hotlink" protection):
https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=site%3Ajeffersonscher.com%2Fttw
I'm not sure what changed related to (B), if something changed.
