problems with direfox and Dex
I have installed Firefox as my default browswer on my Samsung Galaxy 5e tablet which has the option to use Dex, (which i use a lot. As I am a user of firefox on my other devices I am prepared to persevere and find a solution to my problem which is that many, many times I try to log ito a site, including Google, I get the message thet the connectionis insecure. I had no problem logging onto this site yet I have currently got four tabs visible that have delivered the insecure site message. Is this a problem with firefox, dex, or what and hoe do i overcome it? I have fully read the advice on firefox site and it is not my Norton antivirus and that is evidenced by the unpredictability of which site fail to open and which do. Also the drop down menu from the three dot option on the firefox top right hand bar does not match descritions on the firefox website so I cannt see how I can turn this error reporting off which I gather is an option.

Hi Neville
I have had someone else mentione this issue to me very recently and their tablet exhibited similar symptoms. They fixed it after making sure that all apps (not just Firefox for Android) were updated from the Google Play store. Can you try the same?
Thanks for prompt response but autoupadte is turned on and when I checked for an update via Google Play it did not advise that an update is available but not installed. When the browser dislays the message it has a line drawn globe next to the entry box, Furthermore, not only does it not go to a legitimate site from an entered url it oftengives the same response using the entry line to search so the message does not even relate to a site other than the search engine.
