Hello! It would be awesome if somebody could help me with my problem:

I've saved my usernames and passwords, and firefox remembers them. The problem is, whenever I open a website and want to log in, there is no input screen shown. Only when I click where that input screen usually is, and enter a letter, suddenly the input screen appears with the word (username or password) already in it. Then I have to delete the one letter I have typed in and then I can log in. I have to do that every time and it's quite tiring. Even the newest update from Firefox couldn't solve that.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
