Unable to open Firefox or Firefox Profile Manager

more options

When using my computer today Firefox began not working, I would open it though clicking or running as admin, and it would open then Immediately crash, I've attempted to delete the profile files to force it to create a new one, I've attempted to use backups to see if it would fix, I've refreshed my Firefox account using another pc logged into my account in Firefox. Ive attempted to use the "firefox.exe -P" command to force the profile to open but that instantly closes like the browser, and at this point im out of ideas on what it could be. Any suggestions or solutions?

If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter

Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar;

Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 10: Press <Windows> + R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open. In the Run dialog, type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted <Enter>

Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted

Copy the most Recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

I was unable to find the submitted folder but here are the crash reports, and strangely none from today which is when the problem began, and Firefox was completely fine the previous night

Used the Windows R key, and got these

As you can see though, the last crash report I received was 2 weeks ago, and this problem with Firefox only began today, which is strange

That aren't crash reports although they are stored in the Crash Reports folder. InstallTime files are created when you update Firefox.

Submitted crash reports would appear in the submitted sub folder and contains files that look this way:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.txt

Huh, strangely enough there's no "Submitted" folder in Crash Reports, only "Events" which is empty
