When trying to connect to web site. We are sorry for the inconvenience; there was a problem processing your request at this time. Please contact Brighthouse Financial on (800) 882-1292 for further assistance. It works with Chrome and Edge. Contacting Brighthouse, they blame it on Firefox. Security settings? Worked until last update to Firefox. Does not work on any computer I have

To all, The problem was an extension blocking Navy Federal Credit Union and Brighthouse. I took it to stables where they deleted all extensions and put back the ones I needed. Do not know which extension it was. Thanks for the support.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.

Deleted all cookies, followed all the steps provided. No Joy. Remember this problem came with the new version of Firefox. Cleared history. Reloaded computer. Happens on all my computers. Is this a security issue? Could it be that Brighthouse is not following proper protocol. Works with Chrome and Edge.

If the problem goes away with the computer in Safe Mode, the problem is with one of the other programs on the system.

As a test, disable your protection programs.

Windows automatically boots up in this mode if it detects that the previous session was not shut down properly. To purposely start up in Safe Mode in Windows XP and 7, press F8 after turning the computer on and before Windows starts.

In Windows 8.1 and 10, hold Shift down while clicking Restart.

But I ended up using msconfig.

When I hold the shift key down during restart I get the following. Continue Exit and continue with windows not if safe mode Use a device Trouble shoot Turn off computer
