for the last few days, on W10 laptop, Firefox opens to my home page Google, but will not complete the connection to the page (top left shows still trying to connect despite I see Google page). I can go nowhere for like 5 minutes until it fully connects and then it is fine for the day. I have cleared my history. Oddly, while I wait, Edge boots and is useable immediately so I am thinking it is something in Firefox since the newest update to 95.0.02. Any suggestions?

Are you doing this while the system is booting? Or has the system been running a while?

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

This happens only upon first boot up in AM..if I wait the 5-7 minutes for home page to fully boot and I can get around the internet it is fine the rest of the day. I did a Help>troubleshoot mode and same issue..home page hangs for long time.

Can you put Windows in Safe Mode and try Firefox again?

How do I start w10 in Safe Mode? Press Windows key + R (force Windows to start into safe mode every time you reboot the PC).

   Press the Windows Key + R.
   Type msconfig in the dialog box.
   Select the Boot tab.
   Select the Safe Boot option and click Apply.
   Choose Restart to apply the changes when the System Configuration window pops up.

thank you Jonzn4SUSE..yesterday I went into my settings>privacy>cookies and data> and manage data and deleted all. I rebooted and this morning it booted fine. Whether or not that did the trick or something else, I will see as each morning boot up (I shut down every night). If it comes back I will try your suggestion.
