the back, forward, refresh and stop buttons are greyed out, and saved passwords don't work. Settings in tools>options all appear correct.

the back, forward, refresh and stop buttons are greyed out, and saved passwords don't work. Cannot move back and forth. Yet, history is still present, and the shortcut buttons to e-mail, etc. still work. I jsut have to enter all the passwords each time. Also, I can't move from an e-mail web message directly back to my inbox. Settings in tools>options all appear correct.

virus/bot, maybe?

  • In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links are disabled and not showing
  • You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed
