I am running Windows XP and suddenly find that Firefox is filling my whole screen. I have obviously pressed a combination of keys which has created this problem, but I can't get it back to normal. The Firefox tool bars at top of screen have disappeared and so I can't access my bookmarks. The windows status bar at bottom of screen has disappeared. Please HELP!!!

You apparently have Firefox set to Auto-Update. It most likely updated to the new version, Firefox 4.0.

To check if this is true, go to your menu bar at the top of the screen. If you don't see the menu bar, you can enable it by right-clicking an empty area at the top. From that, you should see Menu Bar, Navigation Toolbar, Bookmarks Toolbar, Add-on Bar,etc. Click the ones you would like to enable.

After that is done, you can check your plugins to be sure they are up-to-date with the latest security fixes.

Please come back here & click Solved if this fixes your problem, so others with the same problem can find this answer quickly.

Hmm.. it seems an easier way to fix this would be to hit the F11 key at the top right row of your keyboard. F11 enables full screen and causes the toolbar to vanish as well as filling the whole screen.
