After updating from Firefox 7 to Firefox 8.0 hitting Ctrl-F5 to refresh any external web pages causes a popup from our proxy server asking for my username and password. When I enter the correct credentials it doesn't accept them and keeps popping up the same prompt. No changes were made to proxy settings in recent months. Uninstalled and reinstalled FF 8.0 but got same problem. Uninstalled 8 and installed 7.01 and problem is gone. Problem does not occur in IE.

I just tried upgrading to 8.0 again but immediately had the same proxy login popup problem again. So I uninstalled 8 again and installed 7.01 again and all is fine again. No changes have been made to the laptop in months so it definitely appears to be a Firefox 8 problem.
