I bought a new computer and saved my old bookmarks in html format. I imported the bookmarks to my new Firefox as per instructions. when I click on the bookmarks menu, I can see the old folders. However, when I try to save new bookmarks to my old folders, they don't appear on the menu and I can't find a way to keep them other than starting a new unused folder. I don't want to it this way... I want full access to my old folders. Please tell me what to do. Thx

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension:
