The object type text/html no longer works with firefox 17.0.1.

<OBJECT TYPE="text/html" data="test.html"></OBJECT>

I have this message: Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page Install Missing Plugins... Cannot install the plugin because no suitable plugins found.

I downgraded to Firefox 16 and it works fine. The html object display properly.

Any ideas ?

Is the tag present in the page upon initial load, or added by a script?
