How do I get Firefox to automatically open to my igHome page

iGoogle is going away. I chose and registered for igHome to be my replacement. I want that homepage to open whenever I click on the Firefox symbol. How do I make that happen? Please be detailed in your answer. I'm not a computer geek! I have tried to follow what some of these forums have told me to do and it's NOT WORKING! Thank you for your help! In case it makes a difference, I'm on a Mac.

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.

Search the string "browser.startup.homepage", click twice and change the address->click OK and restart firefox.

Here’s how to set your home page in three easy steps.

1. Open the website you want to set as your home page.

2. Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, and release.

3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.

I have tried both ways of getting igHome as my home page but now on clicking Firefox I get the question page come up! there must be another way .Help please.
