In other to uninstall an AOl customised Firefox, I had to delete saved Bookmarks and personal data. Now I need to recover the Personal data, most importantly the saved passwords.

How do I do this. Including the bookmarks saved over years.

Chosen solution

Did you make a backup of any of your personal data in the Firefox profile folder?

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

You will need the signons.sqlite and key3.db files to have the names and passwords.

If you removed your personal data when you uninstalled Firefox and didn't backup any data then you will have to see if you can recover this data with an undelete utility.
