Hello,

I started having problems with my computer yesterday after I opened the Mozilla Browser

I purchased Spyhunter figuring it would fix the problem. I ran a thorough check and fixed the issues shown.

Problem has not gone away.

First, I have spent all day trying to get rid of a so-called virus. Came from a page pcfixing1.info. Said i have a virus and dial 1-885-286-0309 to talk to a technician.

t am using windows 7 and Mozilla Foxfire as my browser. I deleted Mozilla and tried to re download. The pop up prevented me from doing so twice.

Now, keep getting pop up banner ads from company called "FlashCoupon". Company gave me the option of disabling the ads. However, the company said, if I deleted my cookies, the banner ads would reappear. I should not have to keep or delete my cookies based upon another company.

How did I get this "FlashCoupon"? What is it and how do completely get rid of it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Craig Shuman

Hmm.. This will be little tricky.. if you can download a addons just try use this addons(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/), and then click addons, clik on ublock origin and show dasboard. On dasboard click 3rd party filter and click all of checkbox before region and language.

If still no luck try using antivirus bootable disk to scan the computer, you can use avast or someelse that support it, or if you can try install 360 total security and scan for it..

I still confuse with the explanation you wrote above on "t am using windows 7 and Mozilla Foxfire as my browser. I deleted Mozilla and tried to re download. The pop up prevented me from doing so twice. "

Are you tried to reinstall and you can't or you got problem to reinstall or others..

Hello Craig,

First off, when you right-click on the Firefox-icon on your desktop and select "preferences", what do you see in the "Target" and "Start in.."?

It should look something like this:

Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" Start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox"

In general, one antivirus could not solve every problem with adware or similar problems, so here's a list of steps that should give us a clue about the problem:

Download Malwarebytes Anti'Malware:

Perform a full scan and follow the steps shown in the program.

Download Hitman Pro:

Perform a full scan and follow the steps shown in the program.

Download Norton Power Eraser:

Perform a full scan with re-start and follow the steps shown in the program.

This would be a good start. The problem could be that a program/toolbar has changed some values in the firefox-config or that it's re-directing all traffic in some other way that hopefully will be solved by the 3 software which I provided above.

Hello too all.

I received three responses and I tried them all. Now, I guess , I wait and see. I wanted to specifically thank Vespardi, Benjamini., and Tyler Downer for responding and for responding so quickly. I just hope it works.

Thank you. Craig Shuman
