I've tried pretty much everything in order to reduce RAM usage, but none of the suggested on troubleshooting section actually helped me.

I've tried uninstalling old and installed 38.0.1 fresh, and even without plugins when I have 5-6 tabs opened (even when not actually browsing) if they just stay dormant - every 30 mins my RAM usage goes about 2% more :(

I have to be honest and on new 38.0.1 I don't get crashes - but I get few second freezes like it's going to crash, but it doesn't crash - it just gets so slow that I think it's better to have crash...

I've read a lot about it and it seems that ALL WIN7 64bit users ARE EXPERIENCING this, but nothing actually improved since FFox 28 (if I recall well) when it started to be obvious....

Is there any info on WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED ? I really like FFox, but if this continues - I'll just be forced to navigate away and start using Chrome as closing FFox every hour or so isn't best option....

To answer your question about when it will be fixed, we are currently investigating what is causing lagginess in Firefox. I do not have an ETA, but I do know it is being handled like a top priority.

In the meantime, try Firefox Beta or Safe Mode to make sure it is not hardware acceleration or an add on, things that can be changed.

Yes - I was following that as well (and my config is Intel Quad on 2.4Ghz with 4GB RAM, which is good enough for browsing net - you will agree ), but it just seems that FFox and Win7 X64 don't work nice together :(

Maybe it will be a COOL TO DEVELOP x64 version of FFox !?

There was one that was previewed in March, developments on this are still being made however. Try it here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox.../all/
