Hello, I am a mozillian just for some minutes and have the problem speaking another mother language (and using a german firefox version). Thus I suggest to test the installation of firefox portable parallel to your "old" version: Portables are not so much interwoven with the operation system (and so can be taken with you on an USB-stick). You can use both versions parallel and test if the problem arises again even with the portable version without loosing the data of your "old" installation. I fear that some malware could be the reason for your problems. Maybe a scan with spybot portable could help to find out and solve (even installed, updated an configured on another "clean" PC/notebook and "brought" with a USB flash drive to your possibly infected one). Best regards MH
