I have mozilla firefox but when I click the logo it opens to ask. Why

Chosen solution

A lot of free software seems to be pushing Ask as a home page, or new tab page. This also can occur through an unrelated-sounding extension...

As noted in the first reply, start by checking your home page setting. These articles have more information:

If the problem only occurs using your desktop/taskbar icon, and not in other new windows opened using Ctrl+n (or the menu), then your Firefox shortcut might be "hacked". Adding an address there will either supplement or replace your home page at startup. You can check using:

  • right-click your Firefox desktop shortcut > Properties
  • right-click your Firefox pinned Taskbar icon > right-click Mozilla Firefox > Properties

Windows should display the Shortcut tab with the Target highlighted. Make sure there is no extra address at the end, it should just be this (64-bit Windows):

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

Can you solve it?

Try and change the home page. Click tool - click options - click general - type www.google.gm on the Home page space.

Thanks
