After nearly every click I have to wait for the rainbow pizza on my Mac to spin for several seconds before I can get to my item.

Hi Responder,

My even writing this message, about every 10 words I must wait for the spinning pizza to stop before I proceed. This doesn't happen with Safari, but I do like FireFox, except when It is SO Slow! I do a lot of research online and it takes more than twice as long as it should because of this wait period. Is here a way to fix it?

Thanks, Erica

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Are there a lot of pictures/videos on those pages? That can slow things.

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it
