When I accepted Lightning, most of my e-mails disappeared: what should I do?

I guess Thunderbird was automatically updated, and this time, Lightning came with it. I accepted this Calendar and thought everything was fine.

However, when I came to send an e-mail, I discovered that the only e-mails visible were those from 2012. In 'Sent' e-mails, they go up to 2013 - although still nothing recent.

I tried clicking on 'Get Messages' but nothing happened.

I've tried disabling Lightning, but it makes no difference.

I've tried removing Thunderbird - it still makes no difference.

Looking at other questions on this page, I can see that there is definitely something going on with Thunderbird... it is not only me who is losing their e-mails!

What is your email provider? Lightning has got nothing to do with your messages.

Thanks for the reply, Christ1. My e-mail provider is Yahoo. I notice that other people had problems with Yahoo mail at the same time. Today, the problem appears to have solved itself. Thanks again!
