I want to install an additional copy of TB, but I have changed my PW with my email vendor, and the TB installation software will NOT accept new email PW!!

I want to install Thunderbird on a new laptop, but the TB install software asks for my email address AND a password. My normal email PW doesn't work. If TB is asking for my current (vs outdated) email password for fuse.net, TB doesn't accept my password. What PW does the installation software want?

It is looking for a working password for your email account. Thunderbird does not accept or reject any password. It gives the info your provide to your providers server that decides if it works or not. Passwords errors are also caused by incorrect server settings or overactive antivirus software. I would start by confirming server settings with your provider.
