After upgrade, get error message when sending messages
Responded to prompt and upgraded to Thunderbird 38.2.0. Now cannot send emails. After hitting send, receive the following error message, "Sending of message failed: The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtps.musc.edu for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." Checked all outgoing server settings and they are correct. Tried restarting Thunderbird and computer. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling Thunderbird. Tried running Thunderbird in safe mode. Problem remains, same error message every time. Old version on another computer runs fine. What can be done? Is it possible to install the old version?

@Seminolecapt 38.1 (which few people actually received and 38.2 have fixes for LogJam which disable insecure server connections. No security is still Ok, it is broken Cyphers and SSL/TLS that are affected by the change See http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2015/07/logjam-and-thunderbird.html I notice you have a support topic open here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1078984 I will not be addressing your issue here again.
Please make replies on this thread. (I have corrected the version number I messed up in the other thread.)
