I get the following: "The folder Inbox is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages, delete any old or unwanted mail and compact the folder."

I followed the thread on the forum, but still don't have an answer. I just want to increase the the size of the inbox on my desktop. This should be simple!

Please help.

Chosen solution

No it is not simple. Create another folder, move some mail to it and make room and compact from the file menu Thunderbird still has a 4Gb limit on the mail it will hold in a local folder. IMAP account apparently can exceed that. POP can not.
