Crash ID: bp-9e0d343e-db72-4ff8-bc66-8fa9b2151103

It crashes every time I try to open Firefox. I've tried in Safe mode, with different version (41 and 42) I've uninstalled/reinstalled to no effect.

This is a new laptop running Windows 8.1 Pro and I have not been able to get Firefox to work at any point thus far.

Chosen solution

hi, thanks for providing a crash id - unfortunately this crash may be caused by websense endpoint security software that is running on a device. websense has released an updated version (8.1.2224) which may address the issue.

in case your computer is part of a managed enterprise environment, please get in contact with your it department about this issue. more information is available in bug 1181091.
