Several email accounts but can only load one at a time. Thunderbird 38.4.0.

I have several email accounts. I can only open / load one account. To load the other accounts I have to click on the account I want to open, then I have to shut down Thunderbird and reopen Thunderbird. Then I can see the emails in that account. Then to open another email account I have to click on that account, shut down Thunderbird, restart Thunderbird, and because I clicked on the account I wanted to be on prior to shutting it down, I can look at those emails.

I cannot open Thunderbird and move between accounts and have the emails load.

I am using Thunderbird 38.4.0.

This is on a Mac OSX Mavericks OS.

Did this happen also with version 38.3.0?

No it did not happen with any earlier version of Thunderbird. 38.4.0 is the culprit.

I spent close to four hours yesterday saving my profile, taking off Thunderbird 38.4.0, installing an earlier version of Thunderbird, and replacing my profile.

Some way to spend Thanksgiving.
