Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.

The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn off Always use private browsing mode Turn on Remember my browsing and download history At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button.

You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:

• Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

You have to remove the cookies from a website to make the website forget about you.

"Active Logins" is about servers that use basic authentication and not use cookies to authenticate (remember you).

If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear Cookies then exclude cookies and instead let the cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make them session cookies.

Firefox stores cookies used in tabs that are currently open in the sessionstore.js file as part of saved session data, so those cookies will be restored if Firefox is closed without first closing these tabs.

You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref to 2 (never) or 1 (non-HTTPS) on the about:config page to disable saving cookies via session restore in the sessionstore.js file. The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen the previous session automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time" and uses the same values.

Wait I didn't understand what you said. Lemme clear my problem: I just want to keep cookies from only one site. And I want other cookies to be deleted (like site where I'm logged in) when I close Firefox. I chose clear history when Firefox closes and in settings I chose active Logins, cookies and cache. And far next to "Accept cookies from sites" in exceptions I put the website address from which I don't want cookies to be deleted. But I closed firefox and my cookies were deleted. Hope you understood and can also make me understand.

Thanks. I can now use Firefox as I like. When I close Firefox all the sites where i am logged it automatically logs me out. And only the site with an allow exception keeps me logged in and the cookies form that site is also not deleted.

Here is my privacy settings preview:

One thing: I think Firefox still remembers when window is closed. For testing I closed Firefox and immediately opened it and saw i was logged in. Then I again closed it and opened Firefox after some moments and I was logged out. Maybe Firefox needs some time to forget the cookies after closing. But it's okay it's no problem for me. Thanks
