USAtoday and the Costco.com laptop search- DO NOT WORK in Firefox; they work fine in Chrome
This has been the case for the past several weeks. USAToday home page has at the right, about 10 top stories--those spots come up BLANK. Costco.com when you look at new laptops for sale, on the left you select specifics to limit which laptops for sale come up--that does not work, nothing happens when you select the boxes.
SO THE ISSUES ABOVE ON USATODAY AND ON COSTCO SITES, DO NOT WORK AT ALL NOW ON FIREFOX, AND BOTH WORK FINE ON CHROME..
.this also is true on some other sites..seems like as sites modernize Chrome always works on them and Firefox sometimes works but on many sites Firefox doesn't.
Chosen solution
The USA Today issue has been connected to Firefox's Tracking Protection feature in private windows. If there is a shield icon to the left of the site address in the address bar, try clicking it and allowing the page to reload without tracking protection.
I think it's probably the same issue on Costco.com, based on a little testing in a private window.
If this problem creates more trouble for you than it's worth, you can turn it off on the Options page. See: What happened to Tracking Protection?.
