The calendar with Release dates is here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar

Firefox 46 will be released on Tuesday 2016-04-26/

You will need to install it because the Beta builds only update to the next Beta version. Firefox updates never "jump" Channels, the update within their Channel.
