I'm running Firefox 45.0.2 64 bit. The Java plug-in Version 8 Update 91 (build 1.8.0_91-b14) does not appear in the list of plug-ins for this browser. How can I enable this plug-in if it does not appear to have been installed into Firefox? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit with all the most recent updates installed. The plug-in does work in Internet Explorer 64 bit.

hi photoparity, that's to be expected - firefox win64 versions only support flash and silverlight plugins. if you depend on other npapi plugins, please continue to use regular 32bit builds. please also note, that java in the browser is pretty much dead by now as well: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2016/01/oracle-deprecates-the-java-browser-plugin-prepares-for-its-demise/

Plugins are not installed into Firefox like Extensions and Themes (complete) are but are installed on system.

You can see where your npapi Plugins are located on system by typing in about:plugins in Location (address) bar in Firefox.
