I have been using Gmail Chat (also called Hangout) for a long time. Suddenly since the last FF updates, it's no longer work properly. Sometime the chat was sent out, sometime it won't. I can use it with Chrome without any problems. So I know it's not Gmail/Google problem, rather a Firefox problem.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated.

Thank you.

There are alot of add ons there, please first try Safe Mode to make sure its not an interaction between the update and an add on:

Second, try logging in and out as well as deleting old cookies: Right click on the webpage > Click on "Show Page Info" > Click on Permissions, "View Cookies" and delete all the cookies.

Did this help?

Thank you for your response. This is not an add-on. The chat/hangout is part of Gmail, which has nothing to do with Firefox (though there's an add-on of it, but I didn't install it). I have been using this Gmail option WITHIN Gmail for years.

I cleared my cookies/cache every morning. So that's not the problem either.
